Balneario Ciego Montero

Thermal waters discovered in 1835. This Cuban resort has the capacity to receive 54 patients at a time.  On 25 rooms available, 3 are reserved for tourists. The thermal waters supply five individual baths as well as two for the specific treatment of the skin and two for the collective use. The waters are at a temperature of about  370 -380. With a reservation you can go for a day to bathe and receive a massage.  Located at 27 kilometers from Cienfuegos.

Delphinarium

One of the first dolphinariums of this type in Cuba. Located near the Hotel Faro Luna.

Jardin Botaniqiue

This botanical garden is one of the most important in the world. Its origins date back to 1889 when Edwin F. Atkins, owner of a sugar plant devotes 54.5 hectares of its fields for research on sugar cane. Today, this garden includes an arboretum of nearly 2,000 species of which 70% are exotic. The palm tree collection is among the 10 largest in the world and the bamboo collection has 23 species. This scientific institution is part of the Network of Latin American and Caribbean Botanic Gardens. It is located a few minutes from downtown Cienfuegos.

Trinidad

This city was founded in 1514 by the Spanish conquistador Diego Velasquez. It is renowned for its historic center with colonial architecture inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. The city of Trinidad is 82 kilometers from Cienfuegos.

El Nicho

The Escambray hosts various exceptional natural sites, some of which have been converted into national parks. This is the case of «  El Nicho » and «  Topes de Collantes ». If you go there, don’t forget your swimming suit. El Nicho is 50 kilometers from Cienfuegos.
